Hybrid Working 

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:

The purpose of the role is to support the external and internal disclosures primarily related RWA and Capital measures. This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to be at the forefront of supporting the bank in meeting its regulatory reporting commitments, assist the bank in providing valuable MI and analytics that enable business decisions to be made and explore opportunities that will allow the team to improve its service offering across the bank.

As a Consolidation function for key regulatory measures this offers a unique opportunity to get a good technical understanding of all risk types including Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, CVA, Operational Risk, Credit Risks and capital measures that the team is responsible for overseeing.

What will you be doing?

•    Assist in the consolidation of COREP, Pillar 3 and the results announcement including the review and challenge of disclosures provided by risk asset class teams across the globe. Partnering on issues that occur within reporting and where significant changes to approaches to reporting are mandated.
•    Daily reporting to support internal stakeholders and adhere to regulatory requirements, providing insightful analysis and commentaries on key movements. Incumbent to organise production teams to deliver to the expected timelines and standards set.
•    Active contribution and management of working groups facilitated by the team (RROC Working Group), working with stakeholders to resolve issues that could impact reporting.
•    Contribution to the QIS and IMF submissions and supporting ad hoc disclosures to other regulators across the globe.
•    Ensure the review and challenge of disclosures is executed in an organised manner that enables disclosures to be expedited with comfort ascertained on accuracy before submission to Group and other internal stakeholders.
•    Liaising with other areas of the business globally including Treasury, Front Office, Product Control, IT, Operations to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting.
•    Working closely with the business and other key stakeholders to close out queries in a timely manner.
•    Support project management teams to deliver change  

What we’re looking for:

•    University degree or equivalent
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to challenge current processes and alternative proposals which are more optimal and efficient.
•    Ability to build self-insight while developing others
•    Ability to engage closely with stakeholders to ensure delivery of expected results.
•    Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
•    Ability to work under pressure to challenging timelines
•    Flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements in a dynamic environment, providing value to other team members and the wider stakeholder community.

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Experience and knowledge of PRA/CBI prudential or accounting standards background related University degree educated
•    Qualified accountant
•    Strong analytical skills, able to identify key drivers in reg measures 
•    Strong MS excel skills
