Hybrid Working

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.


Introduction:

The Treasury Transformation program is made up of Liquidity, ALM & Hedge Accounting components, focusing on a number of regulatory and transformative initiatives. The purpose of this role is to support Liquidity Transformation activities to ensure outcomes align with finance architecture strategy, driving standardisation, efficiency of operation and future state design principles. This will include data analysis, process assessment, future state operating model/process build, testing, and training. 

What will you be doing?
•    Understand implications of the Wholesale Lending Data Strategy for Finance and focus on delivering near term milestones.  
•    Co-ordinate and plan analysis and testing tasks for one or more components of the Strategy streams and support VP leads in design, engagement and delivery. 
•    Work closely with India/ London leads to facilitate engagement with senior PMO, Finance Line and IT colleagues to plan, discuss and implement change. 
•    Identify issues and risks of implementing the strategy as they become apparent and present options and proposed solutions for discussion with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT and PMO. 
•    Utilising Agile techniques to ensure high visibility to stakeholders and continuous delivery through sprint cycles. 
•    Challenge IT to ensure designs are addressing the user requirements and the root cause and identifying and suggesting improvements to scope or design to add value to end user solutions. 
•    Work with leads and BI Finance stakeholders (primarily Corporate and Investment Bank areas) to ensure Loan IQ requirements are defined, understood and aligned to the broader Finance Strategy.   
•    Gaps and issues are escalated to appropriate governance forums for review and remediating actions executed. 
•    Partner with the Loan IQ delivery team to ensure requirements are aligned to the Finance strategy and prioritized by the programme. 
•    Execution on programme deliverables in partnership with BI Finance teams. 

What we’re looking for:

•    Degree educated from a top tier institution 
•    Qualified Accountant with a strong grasp of IFRS accounting standards 
•    Robust understanding of Barclays front to back system infrastructure and Product Control & Financial Control processes. Able to apply the Barclays RFT data strategy to execute strategic change. 
•    Demonstrable experience of executing Finance change for Wholesale Lending businesses in specific context of LoanIQ as the Operational Loan Servicing and Accounting sub ledger 

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Strong Product knowledge of the suite of Wholesale Lending businesses across CB & IB 
•    Ability to apply automation technology & techniques in manipulating large data sets
