Hybrid Working 

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction:

This role will hold responsibility for design and oversight of specific initiatives within the broader Finance Transformation program. You will be “hands on” supporting transformation activities to ensure outcomes align with wider finance strategy.  You will be driving innovative and future proofed designs for the activities using your knowledge of data flows, reporting and control standards. This will include data analysis, process assessment, and future state operating model/process design, promoting best practice design concepts and solutions.

What will you be doing?

The Internal Reporting Transformation is accountable for owning specific initiatives as part of the overall finance Transformation strategy. This will include: 
•    Become a trusted advisor and recognised expert to Finance colleagues across various initiatives.
•    Actively drive transformation outcomes for the function, through a strategic lens;
•    Pro-actively develop the conversation and challenge the status quo; 
•    Narrating and championing the transformation journey.
•    Provide guidance and support to wider Finance Transformation team;
•    Presenting and influencing key stakeholders at the Steering committee and other key forums.
•    Ensuring continuous focus on quality and controls as part of transformation delivery.
•    Translate information by subject matter experts in Finance to capture problem statements.
•    Identify business processes inefficiencies that delay the target end state

Key programme responsibilities include: 
•    Work closely with SMEs to understand business requirements and how they translate into functional specifications to support technology development, data and process change 
•    Be responsible for specific designs for the program and facilitate design workshops;
•    Provide cross FTC data view on transform programs and sing off on data architecture working closely with technology architecture teams
•    Supporting on design proposals to drive consistency within Finance; Champion solutions that meet business requirements in a holistic manner – acknowledging the interplay across teams, systems and data;
•    Manage delivery risk, through effective testing and change control frameworks.

What we’re looking for:

•    Senior candidate with knowledge of Finance process, system, data and technologies with experience in Internal Reporting FTC across clusters
•    Strong Data and business analysis skills, responsible for a wide range of activities including gathering data, organizing information, analyzing historical results, making forecasts and projections, making recommendations, and generating models, presentations, and reports
•    Demonstrate a range of styles and techniques in leadership and communications, including influencing and negotiating with a broad set of stakeholders;
•    Excellent Power-point skills, with the ability to storyboard and produce best in class presentations;
•    The successful candidate will possess a demonstrable track record, working on a variety of relevant projects;
•    Academic or professional qualifications;
•    Degree level education and an excellent general academic track record;

•    The ideal candidate will have experience of finance transformation programs and strong command of project management techniques and principles, and process management skills and techniques

–    Performance Reporting (holistic Finance)
–    Income, Impairment, Cost, Capital, RWA's
–    Actuals / Projections 
–    Metrics / KPI's
–    Product & Segmental Reporting

•    Technology / data transformation functional experience relevant to the role, see below:

Tech:
–    Data analysis skills
–    Reporting / Dashboarding Tools exposure
–    Alteryx/ ETL exposure

•    Strong data manipulation skills including Excel and exposure to data manipulation tools (e.g. Qlikview, Business Objects, Lumira, SmartView, SQL, SAS);
