Hybrid Working 

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction:

The role holder will be recognised as a Solution architect for reporting and data strategy requirements across the enterprise within the Rapid agile services framework of Internal Reporting function. Will be responsible for the delivery of milestones with clear road map from the demand management, prioritisation basis cost benefit analysis. This role will act as a bridge between Business, Transformation team SMEs and the technical experts on the converting the problem statements into results through innovative visualization, simplifying and automation. Managing the relationship with RFT teams and external tech consultants to enable tech solutions that are quick to market.

What will you be doing?

•    Support Development in Business Intelligence tools like SAP Analytics cloud and Data transformation in SAP BW 
•    Data scientist role with tools such as Phython etc to do Machine learning, enhanced commentary and Analytics
•    Able to provide design solutions with Internal reporting use cases on reporting and Analytics leveraging tactical solutions for comples business requirement  
•    To act as a Business analyst supporting the function thinking from a strategic point of view delivering MI views that enables analytics and supports quick decision making.
•    To support business on an agile basis in delivering the requirements which is critical in dev ops model
•    Build innovative dashboards on a sprint basis with key focus on controls and governance structure
•    Able to visually enhance an analytical view from the legacy excel/PPT model 
•    Understand the technology landscape and how it affects the clients area of reports and dashboards
•    Adhere to all the IR Controls and develop and implement robust controls mechanism in all processes managed

What we’re looking for:

•    Post graduate qualification in a numerate/information discipline desirable with min 10 years of experience
•    B. Tech and/or MBA (Finance) or any other graduation degree with a strong academic record
•    Experience in Financial Reporting, Regulatory reporting and Control, Planning and/or Analytics
•    Barclays data and/or analytics experience a distinct advantage
•    Experience around designing MI dashboards, analytics and insights
•    Highly motivated self-starter and Strong planning & organisational skill

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Knowledge in Business Intellgence platforms like SAP, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, data management, transformation
•    Project management /scrum master capabilities to drive prioritization
•    Experience around designing MI dashboards and insights
•    Broad business and industry knowledge and experience

•    Confident and assertive manner. Develops relationships and manages stakeholder’s expectations professionally
•    Displays integrity, initiative, commitment and credibility through interactions with colleagues and clients
•    Works well in a team and maintains good relations with team members. Shows enthusiasm and diligence and ensures team motivation is optimized.

•    Understanding of the range of products and services within the firm and the ability to apply this to reporting requirements

•    Ensure adherence of team control requirements 
•    Escalates risk and opportunities appropriately
•    Has the mindset to strive to identify potential control breakdowns in process, also demonstrated with effective procedure manuals


Business Skills
•    Has the initiative and ability to break down problems into components parts and resolve them. Can solve problems effectively and creatively
•    Assist the MI lead in coming up with innovative, creative and scalable solutions. An understanding of the business drivers, project delivery, an ability to fully utilize the financial systems and available data is required. 
•    Good influencing and negotiation skills. Candidate will help the MI lead manage the relationship with Finance Business Partners, Business COOs, Projects and IT to ensure effective delivery of MI support to these stakeholders. This will include negotiating MI enhancements, report decommissioning and managing delivery with available resources.
