You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience withSupport the Business Management team in delivering the day to day agenda for the AE. Working in partnership with the Workforce COE, assisting the Business Management team to provide forward looking and insightful projections for (MTP), Outlook, Transfers, scenario analytics & SI portfolio affordability shape. Provide support to the Business Management team not limited to QBRs, MBRs, TC Weekly’s, Monthly offsite facilitation, D&I people pillar, Service Management, SI portfolio management, Vendor support, ensuring COE partners provide services as required. Own and drive the production of key MI artefacts such as hiring/risk & ops trackers to inform strategic decisions for the TC. Create reporting artefacts and packs for key meetings such as hiring calls, and month-end reporting, as well as job-specific skillsets.

To be successful as a "BM Support Analyst", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable understanding of workforce management in a large multinational organisation
  • Experience in operating in a multi-geographic, matrix organisation a plus, with proven ability to balance commercial, client, and regulatory needs across businesses and geographies
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills a must
  • Strong Communication skills across a variety of forums and mediums Desirable skills/Preferred
  • Workforce Management - Completion of detailed headcount budgeting and forecasting including MTP, RAF, High Level Shape and Outlooks, ensuring aligned to Target Operating Model and through partnership with FBP alignment to cost shape
  • Identify risks and opportunities and trends within the workforce outlooks, providing a view on how these can be managed - Be consulted on workforce change programs by HR or Project teams to provide headcount information and impact on workforce shape
  • Partner with FBPs and the Business to interlock on capacity creation targets and track progress throughout the year - Provide approvals and oversight on organisational changes, monitoring against strategic TOM alignment, and ensuring workforce is aligned correctly from formal hierarchy perspective (e.g. tax implication in India)
  • Partner with FBPs on budget transfers, interlocking headcount transfers with counterpart BMs and providing latest WF impact to FBPs for cost impact and AEs for information and sign off
  • Strategy, Insights & Leadership Support: Partner TC Lead and their SLT on the development of their workforce strategy: assess and challenge reasonableness of Business Cases to ensure plans are achievable
  • Provide insight to AE’s on current WF position and then help drive the resource strategy implementation (Payroll Mix, EOY targets, location strategy, Diversity, Furloughs, Insourcing, vendor analysis)
  • Communicate with Business and HR on Leadership programs (eg Aspire), challenging nominations to ensure aligned with Talent conversations and facilitating AE approval prior to submission - Produce and deliver the Transaction Cycle Weekly’s, QBRs, MBRs etc.
  • Adhoc activity to support Executive level requests
  • Governance & Control: Facilitate Requirements for external Governance Forums (Council, COO ExCo, Group ExCo, Board etc.) and maintenance of all SMR documentation
  • Facilitate delivery of TC Weekly’s, QBR’s, MBR’s, COO ExCo, Cost Board - Organize and facilitate offsites
  • Partner with FBPs to drive annual refresh of cost allocation keys
  • Oversight and approval of all hiring requests in the relevant hiring systems (e.g. BRAINS) confirming budget is in place and in line with location strategy
  • Interlock with AE list of colleagues to go through in-role promotions cycles and ensure roles are loaded and approved in Brains - Interlock with Talent Acquisition on hiring plans/demand
  • Co-ordination and interlock of Early Careers plans for AE and Leadership team, working with Early Careers team to confirm feasibility of requests
  • Periodic review and challenge vacancies / hiring plans based on locations / aging / affordability etc.
  • Provide insight to AE’s on status of hiring identifying blockers and areas to focus
  • Stakeholder Management and Leadership: Building Relationships: Work within and maintain a culture in which trust and mutual respect are valued, challenging people and systems that do not support this. Convey ideas in a confident manner to achieve results and obtain buy-in while embracing alternative points of view
  • Continually build long-term, trusted relationships in every area of the organisation and through flawless execution and a collaborative attitude. Hold others accountable for employing the same approach to achieve the best results
  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s strategy, complementing this with a tailored Business/Function specific strategy to be implemented on behalf of the Business Manager /Function Head
  • Seek to support all aspects of diversity across the organisation through challenging the attitudes of others where necessary, and actively seeking alternative points of view Risk and Control Objective Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Experience in financial services
  • Ability to balance multiple critical requests from various stakeholders and prioritise in the right order
  • Ability to drive and execute deliverables in short time frames and work with limited supervision and able to thrive in a challenging and ever changing environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with internal stakeholders

This role will be based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.  

Accountabilities

  • Knowledge of business areas, products, processes and platforms to be able to assess risk
  • Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
  • Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.
  • Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.
  • Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.
