Conduct market and financial research for pitch books as well as ad-hoc research to inform the BCB (UK) sales teams of latest market developments. Create benchmarks based on accounting & financial concepts to deliver insightful analysis to the key business stakeholders to drive new business activity. Enhance the conversion of sales pitches into actual deals and customer acquisition, i.e. drive wallet share and new business activity. Liaise with key business stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the value derived from the analysis and improvement areas.

To be a successful Assistant Manager you should have experience with:

  • Understanding of business and macro-economic environment in the UK
  • Preferred to possess industry specific knowledge in Retail/ Manufacturing / Hospitality / Business Services / Healthcare / Technology sectors in the UK.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Understanding of advanced financial analysis concepts to undertake analysis of publicly listed firms and  multinational corporates.
  • Knowledge of Marketing & Industry research tools – Factiva, Refinitiv, Capital IQ, Mintel, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, in particular commercial or investment banking.

Other highly valued skills may include:

  • Preferably a Post Graduate, or MBA, or MBA equivalent or CA/CFA.
  • Market and industry research experience, preferably for a Business research or consulting firm.
  • Relevant experience of working in a financial services institution preferred.
  • Aptitude to work in a variable business environment, periodically requiring tight deadlines and aggressive turn-around times.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, particular UK shifts.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is based in Noida location.

    Purpose of the role

    To support coverage to grow income for both new and existing customers by providing marketing leading tools, a world class learning & development programme as well as analytical support in terms of sales management tools to contribute to the overall success of UKC. 

    Accountabilities

    • Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing roadmap to provides market leading Tools for RDs and Coverage.
    • Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing training plan to provide ‘World Class Learning’.
    • Support the delivery of market leading client collateral to provide a competitive advantage to RDs.   .
    • Collaboration with Product to develop market leading industry/segment focused products and multi product solutions and develop and drive initiatives.
    • Development of the data capability across UK Corporate to enable delivery of client insights to drive acquisitions and increase wallet share.
    • Maximise the positive impact of UCRM and Salesforce as a tool for Corporate Banking.
    • Implementation of agreed minimum standards and best practices across UK Corporate  and support this with sales management tools to drive overall success.
