Barclays Change

Change leads and oversees transformational change initiatives at Barclays. Your role will involve managing projects and programs that drive strategic improvements and ensure successful implementation of change across the organization.

Join us as Business Delivery VP, where you will drive strategic platform initiatives, lead client lifecycle transformation, and deliver front-to-back service, solutions, and support across the Private Banking India platform. You will partner with business, technology, operations, legal, compliance, and risk teams to implement platform enhancements, regulatory changes, process optimization, and banking proposition initiatives while enhancing the overall client experience.

Key Accountabilities:

Platform Program Management & Oversight

  • Provide specialist guidance across platform programmes and projects, including programme definition, requirements analysis, business and technical design, and change control activities.
  • Ensure clear identification of all impacted stakeholders, establish appropriate engagement models, and drive effective communication throughout programme delivery.
  • Understand stakeholder expectations, implement governance mechanisms, and conduct regular reviews to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate programme risks and issues while implementing robust change control processes.
  • Conduct regular platform architecture reviews and develop both short-term and strategic technology roadmaps.

Client Lifecycle Delivery

  • Support Front Office teams with sales, relationship management, and implementation of regulatory and business-driven process changes impacting clients.
  • Lead and participate in change initiatives and process improvement programmes aimed at reducing complexity and enhancing the client experience.
  • Identify process gaps and drive process re-engineering, automation, and best practice sharing across locations.
  • Manage enhancements to client reporting platforms across both digital and paper-based channels.
  • Drive consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency across the client lifecycle.
  • Support the implementation of enhanced products and value propositions that improve client experience and support business growth.

Banking Proposition Management

  • Own COO-related responsibilities for the Banking proposition within the Private Banking India platform.
  • Manage delivery, compliance, and client-focused solutions across CASA, deposits, escrow, and payment products.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of banking processes from ideation through implementation.
  • Support product governance activities and regulatory updates in line with RBI and SEBI requirements.
  • Partner with Private Bankers and clients to deliver tailored banking solutions.
  • Lead regulatory interpretation, exception approvals, and internal policy alignment.
  • Drive pricing strategy, product positioning, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Prepare client-facing documentation and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Business Support

  • Partner with Control teams to provide procedural guidance and support to Front Office teams.
  • Maintain Front Office procedure manuals in collaboration with the Head of Client Servicing and ensure alignment with internal and external policy changes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional client activities to deliver customized transaction solutions.
  • Work with Legal and Compliance on client-facing documentation and communications.
  • Manage client collateral inventory and ensure appropriate stock levels.
  • Maintain intranet content related to Front Office processes and documentation.
  • Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities, including business continuity planning and testing.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in technology-intensive Business Process Design and Analysis within the BFSI domain.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management and Client Service Delivery.
  • Strong ability to communicate and influence Senior Management and global stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Graduate in any discipline.

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their business applications.
  • Good understanding of Investment Products and Securities Market Operations.

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives  by ensuring the business is ready to receive the agreed change (address business problems and opportunities), ensuring that change initiatives are successfully assessed and implemented to enable them to be embedded in the organisation.  

Accountabilities

  • Identification and analysis of business impact and opportunities that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business readiness strategies that will help to ensure the successful implementation of change initiatives.
  • Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about change initiatives and that their needs and expectations are being met.
  • Collaboration with Client Readiness, Operational Readiness & Tech Delivery to ensure business, sales, operations, client servicing and functional partners are prepared for a smooth transition of technology delivery into BAU (including Target Operating Model, Training, Communications, Service Agreements.) .
  • Management of resistance to change, ensuring that stakeholders are engaged and that their concerns are addressed.
  • Review of business readiness plans and status reports in conjunction with change delivery managers to ensure business readiness activities completed on time including newly identified risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Collaboration with project teams to ensure that change initiatives are aligned with project objectives and that change management activities are integrated into project plans.
  • Provision of guidance and support to business stakeholders, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to implement change initiatives successfully.
