Step into a role of Screening Configuration Analyst at Barclays, where you’ll take responsibility for operational execution task. You must take responsibility for controlling risk and enhancing controls in connection to your job and areas of responsibility in accordance with rules and regulations. You must follow well defined procedures that may require a range of job routines and make judgement based on practice and previous experience. 

To thrive in this role, you will need some previous experience in:

  • Strong understanding of payment and customer screening processes, including how alerts are generated and dispositioned.

  • Working knowledge of Sanctions screening concepts, including SDN and HITS handling.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard screening and case management tools such as FicroSoft, QMS, Google tools and World Check.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and data privacy standards across all configurations.

  • Build relationships with stakeholders/ customers to identify and address their needs.

You may be assessed on key essential skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is based in Gurugram.

Purpose of the role

To drive operational effectiveness and efficiencies to ensure adherence to policy and standards, using different tools to perform risk-based controls testing, tuning and monitoring. 

Accountabilities

  • Completion of testing to assess the effectiveness of Financial Crime screening applications, and adherence to the relevant Policy and Standards.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement effective screening solutions and ensure Barclays remains in line with peers.
  • Support of Internal, External and/or Regulatory reviews and participate in other initiatives to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
  • Identification of system configuration recommendations for screening applications to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Execution of analytical and data driven analysis with effective communication to stakeholders.

  • Continually develop awareness of the underlying principles and concepts on which the work within the area of responsibility is based, building upon administrative / operational expertise.
  • Make judgements based on practise and previous experience.
  • Assess the validity and applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances that are not covered by procedures.
  • Communicate sensitive or difficult information to customers in areas related specifically to customer advice or day to day administrative requirements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders/ customers to identify and address their needs.
