Join us as an Innovation Operations Support Manager, working at the heart of an innovation  function within the bank. You’ll support a dynamic team focused on driving operational excellence, enhancing governance, and supporting efficient delivery on adhoc projects across our innovation portfolio. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth business operations, effective stakeholder engagement, and high‑quality execution in a fast‑moving, regulated financial services environment.

This role will place you at the centre of a function that combines clear operational discipline with forward‑looking delivery. You’ll maintain oversight of key processes, actions and support senior stakeholders through clear reporting and insights, and work closely with partners across the business to help ensure operational readiness and efficiency. To be successful as an Innovation Operations Support Manager, you should have experience with:

  • Demonstrating solid business and operational acumen, with an understanding of how daily activities link to cost, value and efficiency.
  • Producing clear, accurate and insight‑led reporting, briefings and presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinating multiple workstreams, deadlines and supporting governance actions and  requirements in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
  • Creating high‑quality reports, dashboards and presentation materials using Excel, and PowerPoint, translating operational data into clear insights for senior stakeholders and governance forums.

Some other highly valued skills may include:


  • Working knowledge of delivery and workflow tools such as Salesforce, Jira or equivalent platforms.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies that can improve operational efficiency and oversight.
  • Exposure to financial services or other regulated industries, with familiarity with governance, financial oversight and compliance expectations.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar reporting and visualisation tools to produce clear insights.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job‑specific technical skills.

This role will be based in London.

Purpose of the role

To collaborate, nurture and drive group innovation with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the bank stays at the forefront of innovation and adapts to the rapidly changing landscape in financial services and increasing customer expectations. 

Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with a range of stakeholders to develop a portfolio of open innovation and strategic initiatives through experimentation, co-creation, access to innovative technology capabilities, products and services and a global innovation ecosystem.
  • Development and delivery of frameworks, ideation, training and tools to build a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing to enable new and creative ideas/solutions that deliver on the bank’s strategy.
  • Provision of a global platform and curated ecosystem of partners to inform strategy, drive connectivity and new insights.
  • Development of the strategic capabilities and programmes for the bank to deliver on its strategy, supporting the exploration, evaluation and execution of innovation and investment opportunities.
  • Management and coordination between external stakeholders/partners and the bank, to successfully deliver joint projects and initiatives.
  • Deliver thought leadership and insights to inform strategic decision making and organisational readiness, in conjunction with regular research, identifying emerging technologies and trends.  .
  • Development and management of key metrics including key partnerships, innovation initiatives and impact through regular assessments to calculate the return on investment and identify any potential risks and issues.

  • Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
