A role in Markets involves trading financial instruments, such as bonds, stocks, and derivatives. You'll also arrange capital raisings, manage debt and equity issuances, and structure, execute, and syndicate transactions for clients.

Join us as a "Due Diligence_SP_Analyst” at Barclays, Securitized Products is a centre of excellence in facilitating client supply and demand for financing solutions across a range of assets, including loan portfolios and securities; products, including bridge loans, warehouse loans and repo facilities; and jurisdictions. Working closely with Banking and Markets colleagues, the team creates solutions for clients looking to finance back books of assets and non-core portfolios as well as the origination and acquisition of new loans and securities portfolios.

To be a successful “Due Diligence_SP_Analyst" team provides a complete buy and sell side, advisory to execution service which includes origination, structuring, securitization, trading and distribution, with a focus on effectively managing and optimizing capital and returns.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, Candidate will primarily support Due Diligence team in US in reviewing the loan pool, generating insight and preparing standard loan tapes before securitization.

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Review and generate insight related to pool quality based on available data for due diligence purpose.
  • Develop VBA/Python based code to extract data out of data repository and build reporting tools with focus on automation of data loans and reporting.
  • Maintain historical snap shots of data for surveillance reporting.
  • Maintain highest quality of data, implement data quality checks.
  • Coordinate data associated with due diligence and tie data back to loan origination guidelines and pricing matrix.
  • Work closely with desk.
  • Review due diligence scope, analyze and review diligence reporting and work NY based DD team on how to clear loans for purchases and securitizations.
  • Review exceptions, remedy collateral and title issues on loans by obtaining documents and other information from sellers and 3rd party providers.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or technical major with some programming experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, good understanding VBA, Python or any other Programming language, SQL.
  • Relevant residential mortgage data/due diligence/collateral analyst experience at capital markets. origination, rating agency or mortgage servicing firm.
  • Must have knowledge of loan originations, life cycle of loan.
  • Graduate or MBA from top tier Engineering/Business school.
  • CFA, FRM Certification.
  • Exposure to AI Agents, ability to use AI to automate the tasks, develop codes and solution.

This role will be based out of Mumbai.

Purpose of the role

To develop, launch, and manage the portfolio of financial products and services for the global markets, collaborating with a team of product managers, traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to define product strategies, develop roadmaps, and bring new products to market, also playing a key role in gathering and analysis of market intelligence, identifying client needs, and developing competitive differentiators. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and execution of product strategy for financial products and services offered within the Markets division.
  • Identification of market opportunities and customer needs to create new products or enhance existing ones.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including traders, sales, risk management, and technology, to define product requirements.
  • Market data analysis to make informed decisions regarding product positioning and pricing.
  • Management of the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitoring of product performance, through analysing metrics and client feedback.
