Join us as a HR Data Integrations Lead at Barclays, where you will lead the secure, reliable and governed distribution and integration of HR data across internal and external consumers. Working in partnership with HR, Technology and downstream consumers, you will shape consumer engagement, coordinate the impact and implementation of HR changes, strengthen accountability and controls across the data ecosystem, and enable trusted HR data and services to be used safely within colleagues’ flow of work.

To be successful as a HR Data Integrations Lead you should have experience with:


  • Establishing governance for data distribution, consumption, quality, metadata, lineage and controls.
  • Developing and embedding a structured engagement process for downstream HR data consumers, including driving impact assessments for HR data, system and process changes.
  • Influencing downstream consumer roadmaps and priorities to accommodate HR changes, with clear ownership, escalation and follow-through for associated delivery and control actions.
  • Establishing controls to prevent and detect unauthorised redistribution of HR data, and leading the investigation, containment and sustainable remediation of identified instances in partnership with HR Technology and downstream data consumers.
  • Designing secure access controls for sensitive and personally identifiable HR data using the need-to-know principle.
  • Leading multi-source data integration, transformation, mapping and migration across complex, high-volume datasets.
  • Automating source-to-target validation and reconciliation and investigating data quality issues through root cause analysis.
  • Partnering with Technology teams across solution design, testing, go-live, operational readiness, post-implementation support and benefits realisation.
  • Managing architecture standards, programme dependencies and control gaps across complex transformation initiatives.

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, including constructive challenge and clear escalation of design risks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to assess downstream governance and delivery impacts.
  • Experience reviewing data models, identifying gaps and inconsistencies, and ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture, privacy and data-usage standards.
  • Ability to work closely with product managers, data architects and engineering teams to shape and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management and master data management principles.
  • Strong experience in data architecture or enterprise data modelling, ideally within a large bank or investment institution.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex technology transformation initiatives.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Experience integrating governed HR data and services into Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, Copilot and agents, while ensuring secure architecture, data access, privacy, controls, testing and operational readiness.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform.
  • Python or comparable scripting skills to support data validation, automation or optimisation.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms, advanced analytics and cloud-native data capabilities.
  • Experience harmonising colleague, collaboration, survey and other datasets into a unified enterprise data landscape.

This role will be based in Pune or Chennai.

Purpose of the role

To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
  • Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
  • Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
  • Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.

  • OR for an individual contributor, they will be a subject matter expert within own discipline and will guide technical direction. They will lead collaborative, multi-year assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions..
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
