Change leads and oversees transformational change initiatives at Barclays. Your role will involve managing projects and programs that drive strategic improvements and ensure successful implementation of change across the organization.

Your primary responsibility includes undertaking insights and analytics to support business performance and improvement through high-quality data insights.

Ensure comprehensive, timely, and accurate operational oversight for teams, senior leadership, service buyers, auditors and regulators.

Design, produce and maintain clear, articulate & insightful reporting to best deliver outputs and derived insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Track, manage and govern proactive and reactive data validations for all Critical Data Elements across business areas.

You will collaborate closely with Product owner, technology teams and business to provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects.

Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decision.10+ years of professional experience with indicated skill set.

To be successful as an Insights and Analytics Business Analyst, you should have experience with:

  • Requirements Gathering & Process Modelling – Expertise in eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements; creating user stories, functional specifications, workflow diagrams, process maps, and impact assessments using BA methodologies and best practices.
  • Business Intelligence & Dashboarding Tools - Strong experience with tools such as Power BI, Excel (Advanced), App Insights Workbooks, Tableau, and analytics platforms to design dashboards, monitor technology performance, and present insights to stakeholders in a meaningful way.
  • Technology & Digital Platform Understanding – Working knowledge of enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, APIs, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and cloud-based solutions enabling effective collaboration between business and engineering teams.
  • Agile Delivery & Product Tooling – Hands-on knowledge of Jira, Azure , Confluence, Scrum, Kanban, and Agile delivery frameworks to support backlog management, sprint planning, prioritization, and traceability from requirements through to implementation.
  • Technical Business Analysis -Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, define KPIs, create data models, perform root-cause analysis, and partner effectively with engineering, architecture, and product teams.
  • Data Governance & Quality Management – Understanding of data lineage, data quality frameworks, controls, privacy, and governance principles to ensure trusted and compliant insights.
  • Strategic Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement – Ability to identify opportunities, define KPIs, measure outcomes, and recommend data-driven improvements that enhance colleague experience, operational efficiency, and business value.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication – Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes, produce executive-ready reports and presentations, facilitate workshops, and influence decision-making across technology, product, and business teams.

  • Candidates with experience in expertise in Data Analytics & Insight Generation – Ability to transform complex data into clear business insights, identify trends, measure outcomes, and create compelling narratives that influence strategic decision-making. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, measure business outcomes, and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Business Intelligence & Visualization Expertise – Strong proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, App Insights, Data Fabric workbooks to build executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and actionable reporting.
  • Agile Delivery & Product Management – Experience working within Agile environments and Sprints.
  • Awareness of Azure environment.
  • Flexible with working hours as the wider team is across geo locations.

The location of the role is Pune, IN.

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
