Change leads and oversees transformational change initiatives at Barclays. Your role will involve managing projects and programs that drive strategic improvements and ensure successful implementation of change across the organization.

Join us at Barclays as an Agile Master Coach, focused on shaping enterprise-wide transformation strategy, strengthening coaching frameworks, and embedding effective ways of working. Operating at enterprise level, the Master Coach leads complex, large-scale transformation activity, provides strategic guidance to senior leaders, and establishes the standards, methods, and practices that improve organisational agility and performance.

As a recognised authority in Agile and transformation, the Master Coach builds coaching capability across the business by mentoring Agile Coaches and influencing the evolution of the operating model. The role supports consistent, sustainable transformation that aligns with organisational goals and customer value.

To be successful as an Agile Master Coach, you should have experience with:

  • Enterprise Agile coaching – coaching leaders, communities of practice and organisations at scale to embed and mature Agile ways of working

  • Change and Agile transformation – supporting large-scale organisational change to Agile ways of working, driving cultural transformation, and embedding sustainable improvements

  • Coaching strategies that support effective delivery – applying a range of coaching techniques to improve flow, outcomes, and business value

Some other highly valued skills may include

  • Data-driven decision making – using metrics, insights, and evidence to inform coaching approaches and organisational decisions

  • Advanced communication & facilitation skills – confidently engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, from local coaching groups to exec leadership

  • Effective negotiation skills – balancing competing priorities, resolving conflict, and enabling alignment across business units and portfolios

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role has the option to work from either Glasgow or Knutsford or London.

Purpose of the role

Guides teams, leaders, and organizations in adopting and optimizing Agile practices.To foster an Agile mindset, enhance team performance, and drive continuous improvement by coaching teams in Agile methodologies, facilitating collaboration, and removing barriers to efficiency.Align Agile practices with organisational goals and support long-term, sustainable Agile transformations.

Accountabilities

  • Mentor and coach : Guide teams and leaders on Agile principles, practices, tools, and methodologies in alignment to the Business Unit’s strategic needs and delivering value to the client / customers

  • Facilitate Colleague Development:Coach and Develop colleagues to embed Agile ways of working, championing an Agile mindset and behaviors to drive cultural change

  • Build High-Performing Teams: Help teams identify and address impediments to Agile execution and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning

  • Continuous Improvement: Use data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth

  • Cross Business Collaboration: Collaborate with other Agile Coaches, share best practice and contribute to a network of Agile champions across Business Units

  • Agile Adoption: Own the Agile coaching strategy to continually improve maturity levels across the organisation by embedding best practices.
