 Join us as a “BA4 - Research”, where you will provide subject matter expertise on India employment legislation, Regulatory Requirements, and Organizational compliance procedures. In this role, you will support the organization by offering guidance on complex employment law matters, interpreting statutory requirements, ensuring that policies and processes reflect current legal standards and attend various hearings with the regulators . You will partner with various stakeholders to drive fair, consistent, and legally compliant employee practices across the organization.

Overall purpose of role:

The role involves managing the process for capturing and standardizing broker votes.

The candidate will work closely with Research business managers to capture broker vote data from various client formats in a pre-defined structure and format using a web-based portal.


This successful candidate will own this process across the Americas and European client base and will engage with multiple stakeholders to ensure capture is completed in a timely fashion on an ongoing basis.

The candidate will also drive delivery of key reports and help provide valuable business/monetization analysis for multiple stakeholders in research.



Key Accountabilities:

  • Assisting with broker vote processing – taking ownership for managing the centralized processing for Broker votes, including analyzing broker vote data, standardizing it, capturing information, coordinating with sales, working on any ad-hoc request related to broker vote.
  • Supporting Research Sales and Client Strategy with key insights on votes and client consumption.
  • Responsibility to ensure accuracy of data in the portal as per predefined agreement per client.
  • Delivering/Maintaining interactive tools and dashboards by using Business Objects and MS Excel.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:

As part of a global team, the Mumbai based individual will be directly required to interact and work with different stakeholders in Research various regions and time zones. The individual will require exceptionally strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Decision-making and Problem Solving:

This role requires the candidate to have excellent analytical skills. The candidate will be required to have in-depth knowledge of votes and be able to make decisions to standardize information as well as resolve queries from team members in this regard.

Risk and Control Objective:

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree with at least 2-4 years of experience working in a data intensive process and hands on reporting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong interest in the subject matter.
  • Resourcefulness, and proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in MS Excel using Macros and MS Office applications with the knowledge of lookups, functions and basic reporting in Excel.
  • Ability to work during UK business hours.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts and implement them.
  • Report development using SAP Business Objects is preferable.
  • Basic understanding of financial terms and the research business would be an added advantage.
  • In depth understanding of the broker vote process within a research environment would be an advantage but not essential.

To maximise the value of the Research product through the targeting and marketing of content to Clients and ensuring best practice in negotiating and collecting revenue. 

Accountabilities

  • Leverage data, analytics and feedback to understand our clients and competitive landscape; use the information to continuously monitor and decide where to allocate resources.
  • Management, continual improvement and execution of the Research content monetization processes and agenda.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and improvements to the monetisation of Research.
  • Identification of and driving changes to systems and processes to continual improve the delivery to our internal stakeholders and Clients .
  • Adherence to the highest standards of risk management and controls; identification of potential risks and help to develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
