Hybrid Working 

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction:

o    The role requires sound understanding of SFT products, Prime brokerage, Liquidity Risk, Regulatory Framework, good programming/SQL/Database skills, eye for detail and an ability to liaise with the front office desks to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of tasks/projects performed.
o    Over the past few years the team has created its own niche brand within the business and the person joining this team has got a great ask to drive this brand further.
o    The role holder will interact with regional desks to understand the key areas of business, Liquidity and Balance Sheet Drivers and work closely to manage  & build solutions/ models/ reports that can help in making the business more efficient from resource/ revenue perspective.


What will you be doing?

o    Understand the Prime business; Repo, stock loans and Derivative products like Futures, Options, Swaps, FX PB. Get hands on with database Analytics using tools like Tableau/PowerBi/Qlikview/Python/SQL/VBA Macros.
o    Working on strategic projects related to Asset Labiality Mismatch, LCR, NSFR and other liquidity related metrics  
o    Managing daily deliverables and meeting all agreed SLAs and work closely with regional stakeholders and senior management on adhoc requests and analysis. 
o    Create prototypes of innovative tools/models to facilitate decision analytics for trading or risk business.
o    Ensure cross training and knowledge transfer within the team.


What we’re looking for:

o    Graduate or MBA from top tier Engineering/Business school. Ability to work effectively as part of a lean team and willing to take on responsibility.
o    Well organised with good time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks. Ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly in a highly pressurised environment.
o    Able to work effectively as part of a large team and willing to take on responsibility.


o    Excellent knowledge of Investment Banking Markets businesses 
o    Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional problem solving abilities and Comprehensive knowledge on Prime Brokerage business and associated risks. 
o    Tableau/Qlikview, SQL, VBA, R, Python - Technical Knowledge – Database development and management. Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, Macros), MS Office skills and inclination to add IT Skills where required.
o    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of issues and breaches.


Skills that will help you in the role:

o    Prior experience in working with large data and on tools such as Qlikview, SQL, R or Python is a plus.
o    Any progress on CFA or FRM is preferred
o    Works in a risk relevant role and have knowledge about regulations related to capital, liquidity Risk etc
