Hybrid Working 
Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction 
•    The qualified role holder will support multiple screening functions by performing tasks like extracting large datasets for any analysis to be performed, or to support any audit or review.
•    Drive automation within team via pulling multiple levers like Machine Learning, Robotics or Artificial intelligence. 
•    The role holder will work closely with management to ensure critical functions are fulfilled timely and accurately.
•    The role holder will need to support all staff within the area with the evolving and ever-changing environment. Embracing all challenges, self-motivating and driving performance within Operations.   
•    The role holder will ensure compliance with Barclays Group Sanctions Policy and with Barclays Regulatory responsibilities in respect of the fight against Financial Crime and the funding of terrorism with regard Screening.
•    The role holder will ensure all Governance, Risk Management, Controls and Compliance requirements are adhered too.


What will you be doing?
•    Write high-quality code in Python and SQL to extract, transform, analyse, and visualize various types of data using Power BI & Tableau, constructing robust pipelines to combine multiple sources. 
•    Produce meaningful data forensics to support the delivery of Financial Crime Screening operation related initiatives.
•    Create, build and maintain analytical tools through programming to generate insight, recognise patterns and predict behaviour.
•    Experiment and identify with various analytical methods\techniques best suited to data challenges. 
•    Respond to ad-hoc requests and communicate the results of any analysis, trends, and MI to a range of audiences whilst effectively managing your workload.
•    Have an active interest in all aspects of technological infrastructure - suggesting and helping to deliver concepts for more efficient processing across multiple technical disciplines.
•    Develop an understanding of Financial Crime preventative measures, systems, and operational processes within Barclays.
•    Support the delivery of automation initiatives in-line with the wider Group strategy.

What we’re looking for:
•    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.
•    Must have basic knowledge of machine learning techniques to build/maintain models.
•    Must have Experience in Python and SQL for at least 2 years, 
•    Proficient in Advance Excel, Power BI and Tableau
•    Strong analytical and quantitative skills to support Global Financial Crime Operations deliveries and work with a diverse range of colleagues across multiple sites/functions.
•    Good presentation skills with ability to explain sophisticated solutions to a non-technical audience.

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Knowledge or Experience of Financial Crime Operations domain
•    Working knowledge/Understanding of End-to-End payment flows 
•    Degree or track record in statistics, mathematics, computer science or related scientific disciplines.
