Hybrid Working

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.


Introduction:

The candidate is expected to work in a high intensity, results oriented team environment as part of the Sustainability CIB Controls team in Mumbai, which is a virtual extension of the Sustainability CIB Controls team in London. The candidate will be involved in the setting up and running of a range of ESG related frameworks and processes across CIB. These will include Business ESG product review and control meetings, product specific control processes for products such as equity indices and green structured notes, and ESG related frameworks such as the KPI sub framework that governs the use of sustainability linked performance indicators 
The role will involve working as part of a team covering a range of activities. These may include designing and building reporting processes, industrializing existing control processes, developing process documentation, preparation of monthly reporting packs, administering regular and ad hoc governance meetings, control monitoring processes, data monitoring, maintenance and regular review of ESG registers, managing escalations of related ESG data risks, development and production of ESG Management Information packs, analysis of client data and ad-hoc analysis. The candidate will be interacting closely with stakeholders in other regions and functions.

The role requires good organisational skills, very strong analytical skills, a strong understanding of business controls, sound understanding of Financial Markets (banking and/or markets), good knowledge of sustainable finance/ESG investing, and an ability to prioritise effectively.

What will you be doing?

o    Design and implementation of control processes
o    Preparation of monthly reporting packs
o    Monitoring business activity against frameworks
o    Maintenance of ESG frameworks and registers
o    Timely escalation of exceptions

What we’re looking for:

o    Post Graduate (MBA/CA/ME)
o    8-10 years of work Experience in Risk & Controls domain
o    Basic knowledge of Banking/Markets Business and products
o    Experience of creating dashboards and producing Business MIS
o    Strong analytical & presentation skills
o    Experience in designing and implementation of controls.
o    Excellent attention to details
o    Excellent communication skills (oral/written) 
o    Aptitude for self-learning – Should be able to demonstrate a self-starting attitude.
