As a Barclays Assistant Vice President, Acquisition Credit Strategies, you will be driving the development of underwriting and line assignment strategies leveraging bureau data, application data, alternative data, partner data and other new data sources. You will be responsible for strategy implementation and validation, and partner level performance tracking for both internal and external reporting. The Credit & Data Analytics area focuses on first line risk responsibilities for the US Consumer Bank acquisitions and high-risk account management. 

Salary / Rate Minimum: $140,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $160,000

What will you be doing?

•    Developing and monitoring customized acquisition underwriting and initial line assignment process 
•    Being responsible for evaluating new data and partner data sources for underwriting and line assignment strategies 
•    Using statistical analysis techniques such as CHAID Decision Trees, optimization procedures, loss forecasting, enhanced process monitoring, and data quality analyses
•    Incorporating score implementations supporting launch for development
•    Collaborating with Segment /Strategic Analytics /Decision Science staff to ensure project completion within agreed time frames and end-client satisfaction 
•    Ensuring effective implementation of the strategies for reporting
•    Analysing, validating, tracking, and monitoring delivered projects

What we’re looking for:

•    Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree or PhD is a plus (quantitative disciplines)
•    Prior analytical experience in financial services industry; credit card experience is a plus; experience in developing credit strategies in a lending product
•    Prior experience with SAS/SQL or other relevant statistical tools; solid knowledge of Hadoop and Excel is a plus
•    Proficiency with analytical software (e.g. SAS), SQL tools (e.g., Oracle), Unix platforms, Knowledge Seeker, and MS Office is required
