Head of Coverage Support- FI Europe 
Frankfurt

This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmark.

As a Barclays Head of Coverage Support, within Financial (FI) Europe leadership team, you will be contributing to the overall business performance and will be expected to take a lead on various strategic initiatives. You will have an opportunity to lead, manage, and grow a team of junior talent from analysts to Associates assisting the Financial Institutions Europe team in delivering world class service and relationship support to some of Corporate Banking’s largest and most valued client relationships.

What will you be doing?
•    Leading a team of pan- European junior talent across the Financial Institutions Europe team with responsibility for their recruitment, performance, and career development
•    Delivering exceptional business performance whilst maintaining risk management, and building and maintaining highly proactive, long-term business relationships
•    Coordinating and maintaining dialogue/sharing of information to ensure up to date knowledge of the market place, business development and competitors
•    Developing and maintaining contact with clients, proactively anticipate, respond to, and seek to exceed the expectations of customers 
•    Managing AML, KYC, Customer Due Diligence, compliance accountabilities as required and representing at relevant risk forums as appropriate
•    Developing internal networks to embed sector knowledge and ensuring optimum service delivery
•    Helping key stakeholders across various functions including Financial Crime, Compliance, Cash Management, Product, Investment Banking, Global Payments, and Client Servicing
•    Supporting, coaching, and developing team members including working with Associate Bankers supporting the portfolio, team objectives, and change management programmes

What we’re looking for:
•    Experience working in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment sharing ideas and best practice with your peers and seniors alike
•    Experience of leading a large team, preferably in a servicing environment, with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and have a track record of developing people
•    Experience of supporting client management and/or coverage role with exposure to complex clients and ability to support such relationships with confidence
•    Experience of corporate banking products and services including those linked to cash management and FX solutions being particularly relevant to the role

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Experience within financial services organisation with High-Risk client sectors and regulatory environment, Enhanced Due Diligence process and financial crime risk
•    Knowledge of cash management Products & Services, control procedures for Affiliates and correspondent banking market and product set
•    Experience of leading a team across numerous countries, supporting an international business
•    Problem solving skills to deliver the management of a large team in complex sectors, ensuring that continuity of service is always provided by the team

Our new Frankfurt office is based in the heart of the new business district in the Taunus Turm. It boasts modern, collaborative workspaces and offers a gym, several different food outlets close by and direct access to a large park.
