The DPM Product Specialist (PS) is central to delivering an excellent experience for clients in a cost effective, compliant, and consistent manner.

The PS will produce client facing materials to assist Accredited Wealth Managers and Investment Advisors in acquiring, servicing, and responding to Clients. This will include investment presentation materials, client review packs and bespoke analysis to support client conversations, advice and decision making.

The PS will support the creation and deployment of automated tools to simplify how we operate and foster an increasingly agile and responsive service, whilst maintaining a focus on our compliance obligations. An example would be scalable pitchbook materials, with common application to widespread client scenarios.

Key Accountabilities:

As a member of the DPM Product Specialist team, the PS will have responsibilities for developing and communicating a compelling and innovative investment proposition. This will involve:

• Assistance in the delivery of the Guide to Investments – A working document to aid colleague navigation of the Wealth Management investment proposition

• Maintenance of the Discretionary Portfolio Management pitchbook factory and DPM & Advisory review pack factory – Semi automated production of pitchbooks and review packs for client facing colleagues

• Providing support to Investment Advisors and Accredited Wealth Managers in their servicing of Clients

• Production of competitor analysis / performance comparison collateral for use in conjunction with Investment Advisors, contributing to revenue generation and NNIA (Net New Investable Assets)

• Managing the delivery of monthly ancillary support material and maintenance of MI (Manager Information)

• Support of broad Private Bank & Wealth Management investment propositions through delivery, development, and improvement of materials, leveraging team understanding of the various client segments within discretionary

• Contribution to the initiation of and input into projects intended to improve investment product solutions and service offerings, with a focus on streamlining and efficiency

Person Specification

The PS will have strong communisation skills, demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and be able to manage their time effectively in balancing priorities. The PS will be a highly motivated self-starter, showing innovative and commercial focus to problem solving.

Working in a wider investment team, the PS will be a dedicated team player. This role requires a diligent, tactful, client focused individual with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients both internally and externally. An ability to think laterally and creatively is required.

The individual must be uncompromising in their attention to detail, taking personal responsibility to ensure the best results for their clients and for the wider team. They must demonstrate the drive, ambition, and determination to further develop their skills to build a career in a leading Wealth Management firm.

The PS will understand business drivers and the value chain in an investment management business.

Essential criteria:
• Developing and maintaining client-facing investment materials, including DPM pitchbooks, review packs, and bespoke analysis.
• Supporting Accredited Wealth Managers and Investment Advisors in client servicing and relationship management.
• Strong technical capability with Excel and PowerPoint.


Desirable criteria:
• Motivation to attain relevant industry qualifications, such as the Investment Advice Diploma or other Level 4 qualification.
• Experience or familiarity with VBA, Refinitiv Workspace, or other investment management tools.
• Creative problem-solving and process improvement to enhance client service and team efficiency.

This role is based in Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage.  .
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.
