In a role in Product Development & Management, you'll oversee our entire product lifecycle. Your responsibilities include gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining product vision, and ensuring successful delivery and ongoing performance.

Join us as a Funds product support manager and be responsible for all key aspects of Communications and Marketing for In-house Funds with External and Internal Stakeholders.

The role holder will work alongside colleagues managing the Third Party/In-house Funds Product Management Functions and those managing the other functions of the Barclays In-house Funds, including Product Development Managers, and Governance colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Owning internal Barclays in-house Fund communications including Website news items, Private Bank Wealth Management platform communications, and corporate actions

  • Coordinating with the Fund’s administrator, Northern Trust, to ensure timely and accurate investor communications

  • Coordinating with key stakeholders, including Portfolio Managers, Investment Analytics, Legal and Compliance, and Finance to create and maintain key Fund marketing literature including pitchbooks and quarterly reporting.

  • Responsible for ownership and ongoing maintenance of intranet content

  • Working with stakeholders to be a key and influential figure in the management and execution of the Barclays Investments website migration project.

  • Working as a bridge between the Barclays Funds Team, COO, and Fund Specialists: ensuring platform and system readiness for fund launches and product development.

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, including Administrators, Management Companies, and Legal Counsel to ensure all Fund documentation is updated and translated in a timely manner when required.

  • Understand the annual regulatory KIID refresh process and monthly Fund Factsheet process to provide essential cover for these processes when required.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Highly competent in MS Word and MS Excel (fluency in multiple formulas, graphing, pivot tables)

  • Understands operational risk and incident management principles and processes.

  • Experience working on regulatory initiatives with knowledge of the current/future landscape in UK & Europe, including its impact on Asset Managers, Distributors and Clients.

  • Experience in process design, driving initiatives through to conclusion and coordinating multiple stakeholders towards a common goal.

Purpose of the role

To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage.  .
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.

  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
