One way we demonstrate this commitment is through our Barclays MBA Ambition Fellowship.  Barclays seeks to attract, develop and retain talented and high-achieving individuals from a variety of backgrounds. The Fellowship does not require you to reflect any particular demographic, but rather we are looking for candidates who have a commitment to overcoming inequality and supporting equity.

If selected as a Barclays MBA Ambition Fellow, you will receive funds that can be applied your full time MBA tuition and academic expenses, contingent upon receiving and accepting a summer internship offer. In addition, MBA Fellows will be eligible for additional funding toward their second full – time MBA year if they choose to rejoin Barclays full-time following graduation.  

Application Details 

Candidates should submit the MBA Ambition Fellowship application at the same time as their Investment Banking Summer Associate internship application.  Candidates must apply to both postings to be considered for the Fellowship.  Application reviews will take place on a rolling basis. 

When submitting your application, please include the following:

  • Resume
  • Personal statement (250 words maximum) addressing the following prompt:  At Barclays, we are looking for individuals with a global mindset and diverse worldview.  Please tell us why you have applied for the MBA Ambition Fellowship, and how it will enable you to achieve your career goals and aspirations.  You may draw upon examples and contributions you’ve made via school activities, community service, leadership roles, and the like to illustrate your personal commitment to diversity.

Eligibility 

First-year, full- time MBA students pursuing an Investment Banking 2025 Summer Associate position at Barclays are eligible to apply.  

You must receive and accept an offer for our 2025 Investment Banking Summer Associate program to be eligible for the MBA Fellowship.  

Location 

The Investment Banking Summer Associate position is typically available in New York, Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco.
