As a Barclays Funding and Liquidity Management (FLM) Vice President, you will assist in the funding strategy of material entities in the Americas and drive planning and control processes that maintain the liquidity profile in line with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite. This role optimizes funding and liquidity to support the balance between commercial needs of the organization with prudential liquidity risk management across the Combined US Operations (CUSO).

Salary / Rate Minimum: $160,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $205,000

What will you be doing?

•    Providing oversight for Liquidity risk for the IHC and CUSO and communicating the Treasury strategy in relation to the IHC
•    Acting as the expert in key regulations and regulatory metrics impacting Barclays Americas approach to Liquidity Management (6G/5G, LCR, NSFR, Reg YY regulations, etc.)
•    Translating external requirements into a Barclays context by designing the frameworks in which the firm needs to operate and driving implementation of reporting enhancements
•    Preparing analysis for senior management, assisting with responses to regulatory queries, and drafting of Treasury’s contributions to regulatory submissions
•    Leading initiatives under Liquidity Reporting Program (one of Treasury’s top priorities) which aims to improve timeliness of liquidity reporting 
•    Working closely with the Daily Management, Funding Strategy Centre of Excellence and Reporting teams to assist with the continuous improvement of process
•    Maintaining a forward-looking ‘pipeline’ of upcoming changes to regulations, to allow for timely impact assessment and planning of the Book of Work
•    Understanding the liquidity drivers behind our credit rating and developing strategies to positively influence this

What we’re looking for:

•    Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Finance or related field of study
•    Extensive experience working in a regulatory coverage role in a Liquidity Management function within a top tier Bank, or within a regulatory/consultancy capacity
•    Comprehensive knowledge of the US Regulatory framework in which Funding & Liquidity Management operates 
•    Experience working on Regulatory deliverables (including but not limited to, 5G/6G, LCR, NSFR and Reg YY) as well as knowledge of the liquidity regulatory metric calculation methodologies

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Solid grasp of principals of liquidity risk management and an appreciation of legal entity regulatory issues, including intra-group transactions
•    Ability to pro-actively solve problems and escalate issues through the proper governance channels as well as ability to challenge opinions with confidence and professionalism
•    Excellent relationship management skills, with an ability to develop and maintain, open and trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders outside of the immediate team
•    Knowledge of Investment Banking and Financial Services products with focused understanding of Basel III & IV, Dodd Frank, CCAR or general Regulatory Policy

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
