Global Technology Support Engineer 
Whippany, New Jersey

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Global Technology Support Engineer in Whippany, New Jersey (multiple positions available): 

1.    Provide top quality application support across 20 applications supporting 100+ users and downstream consumers, in batch, real-time, and intra-day operation
2.    Work on Barclays IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process and Barclays internal customized tools, such as ServiceNow for ITIL,JIRA for changes, SPDW for management reporting of service levels, Netcool for alerting, Geneos ITRS to complete repeating business as usual activities
3.    Utilize iDash reporting tool to conduct OLA/SLA tracking, and utilize Nolio a release management tool for Managing Production releases
4.    Develop subject matter expertise in various Barclays applications, including Stargate, the firm’s strategic cloud based Reference Data suite 
5.    Work on Enterprise Security Master, Asset Control and Timeseries reporting applications 
6.    Provide Level 2 and 3 support, incident, change, problem and other ITIL areas in service management for these listed applications under Ref Data Technology
7.    Responsible for Management Information Systems (MIS) reporting and analysis requirements, change and release management, and risk and control
8.    Prioritize the problem management process by being the RTB representative on application change review board calls; ensure production fixes are prioritized 
9.    Present the monthly service review deck to business stakeholders, and works on improvement projects, working with business and various IT teams and mutually agreeing on the SLA
10.    Work on Service Now service control reports (event, incident, problem, and change) to ensure services are well managed by effective reporting
11.    Responsible for automation utilizing various technologies to save daily support manual work, and application alerts configuration and set up
12.    Build and maintain the next generation monitoring tools for Reference Data systems focusing on intelligent alter with a business context
13.    May telecommute

What we’re looking for:

Employer will accept:

•    Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering or related field
•     Seven (7) Years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
