CFO Business Partner Networks Assistant Vice President

As a Barclays CFO Business Partner Networks Assistant Vice President (AVP), you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and insights specific to our relationships with the credit card networks. This includes forecasting income and expenses, assessing impact of new products and fees, and providing insights and strategic recommendations to maximize financial performance. This position reports to the CFO Business Partnering Director and will play an integral role in driving insights into the performance of our network relationships.

What will you be doing?

•    Understanding financial results, performance drivers, and trends to build accurate forecasts for network revenues and expenses
•    Performing analysis of financial performance comparing actuals vs. forecast to identify opportunities and risks to achieving our network financial plan
•    Providing a strategic cost/benefit analysis for new products and initiatives including partner renewals/renegotiations, value proposition optimization, and new partnerships
•    Delivering partner specific insights for top tier cobrand programs regarding spend and interchange performance
•    Producing Quarterly Forecasts and ongoing Outlooks to guide the business understanding of expected performance and drivers
•    Building and maintaining effective communication channels across finance and network management teams to maximize impact of all analysis and strategic recommendations 
•    Interacting and collaborating with our card network partners (external) on finance related projects and initiatives 
•    Assisting with team-wide deliverables and citizenship/community activities 

What we’re looking for?

•    Experience in the Credit Card or Financial Industry
•    Bachelor’s degree minimum and excellent critical thinking skills, attention to details, written and verbal communication skills 
•    Analytical, technical, and statistical skills with proven ability to process data into meaningful information 
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel stills are critical and the candidate will be a proactive self-starter who has the courage to ask questions and challenge the status quo

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Degree in Finance or Quantitative discipline preferred 
•    Knowledge and understanding of payment networks combined with an understanding of a credit card P&L
•    Knowledge and understanding of Essbase, Alteryx, SAS, SQL a plus

Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
