Head of US Secondary Trade Closing Vice President

As a Barclays Head of US Secondary Trade Closing Vice President (VP), you will manage all tailored product closing activity which includes but is not limited to, Deal Seasoning execution, BWIC trade settlement, block trade settlement, and private credit for both par and distressed trade closing. You will also be responsible for US Secondary market loan trading operations strategy which includes process optimization, process governance, Data management and reporting.

What will you be doing?

•    Setting strategic vision for department by showing excellent leadership skills and a proactive default response to issues and opportunities
•    Influencing and driving prioritization of strategic change for the department
•    Developing and managing a governance and Reporting framework that delivers inter-department and stakeholder engagement
•    Being responsible for positioning the department for expected growth as well as technological disruption
•    Articulating and implementing tactical decision making for immediate resolution and strategic decision making for positioning department for long term success
•    Taking ownership of the results of the team’s performance and, where opportunity exists, taking action to remediate quickly and efficiently

What we’re looking for:

•    Four or more years’ experience within syndicated Loan operations (preferably closing operations)
•    Understanding of control environment and how to make decisions consistent with Barclays and Industry risk and control expectations
•    Ability to articulate and implement tactical decision making for immediate resolution and strategic decision making for positioning department for long term success
•    Microsoft Excel expertise 

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Knowledge and understanding of Project management
•    Knowledge and understanding of Process Redesign
•    Microsoft PowerPoint skills preferred
