As a Barclays Department Budgeting Lead, you will be responsible for managing the overall financial performance of USCB’s Marketing expenses and for providing detailed variance explanations of monthly and quarterly results as well as managing risk to budget targets. What will you be doing?

• Preparing and presenting insightful analysis of financial performance and key drivers of USCB’s Marketing expense budget
• Managing the monthly close process for all Marketing related expenses and working with wide range of stakeholders to ensure alignment of budget risks and opportunities
• Reviewing journal entries pertaining to system generated accruals, submitting/reviewing manual journal entries, and assigning costs at a partner level
• Managing the Marking budget forecast, at a partner level, by working with a wide range of stakeholders, understanding needs, and working through effective solutions
• Providing Financial Controls with appropriate financial data required as it relates to partner specific contractual obligations
• Managing and looking to enhance a best-in-class controls and governance framework resulting in ‘consistently excellence’ deliverables
• Helping with and supporting ad hoc requests from senior management, business, and other key stakeholders
• Assisting with and supporting team-wide deliverables and citizenship/community activities and managing associated control environment, documentation, and reporting

What we’re looking for?

• Three plus years of related experience in Credit Card or Financial Industry
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are critical
• Bachelor’s degree minimum

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Analytical, technical, and statistical skills with ability to process data into meaningful information and highly motivated and team oriented 
• Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication skills including senior/executive level presentations
• Experience working effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment within a matric organization
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and develop relationships and proactive, dedicated self-started who can ask questions and challenge the status quo

Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
