Hybrid Working 

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction:

This role will lead on the consolidation and reporting of the regulatory metrics with specific focus on the Large Exposure monitoring and reporting.The incumbent will lead the regulatory reporting processes and related  disclosures across the Daily , monthly , results announcement, Pillar 3, COREP as well as be accountable  for implementing future reg changes from a consolidation and Reporting perspective for the legal entities responsible 
The role will focus on collecting, reviewing and analysing regulatory data across the business in order to support internal decision making and facilitate external reporting. 
The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across Risk Information Services (RIS), Finance, Treasury and the respective  legal entity CFO and  CRO to ensure  reporting is performed consistently, with clearly defined accountabilities in place. The role will also have a key focus on future developments, that these are understood and managed appropriately in consistency with the expectations of the Group Regulatory Standards and expectations of the LE Regulatory Reporting Oversight Committee.

What will you be doing?

•    Planning and co-ordination of the daily , monthly and quarterly reporting process to ensure the appropriate level of information is captured to comply with all external and internal reporting requirements across Result Announcement, CoRep, and Pillar 3 disclosures
•    Own the interaction and relationship with the LE Regulatory Reporting Oversight Committee, notably the LE CFO and  CRO, ensuring the provision of various reporting and management information to facilitate sign off on the regulatory metrics
•    Review and challenge of data submissions from various functions to ensure the information included in the internal MI and external disclosure are accurate and complete. Be transparent with issues that may arise and work with stakeholders to formulate remediation plans to resolve these
•    Ownership of the end to end Pillar 3 reporting process, and review and ownership of selected disclosures in the Annual Report and Results Announcements , where applicable
•    Ensure that the integrity of the financial data remains to the highest standard, by ensuring that adequate financial and process controls are in place, consistent with the Group Financial Regulatory Reporting Standards and Policy 
•    Analysis and preparation of commentary on key movements which supports the monthly management information and presentations to the Regulatory Reporting Oversight Committee. Ensure the business drivers are understood and how these align to the business outlooks
•    Fully understand regulatory changes (CRR2, CRR3, EBA Taxonomy and new Pillar 3 reporting requirements) from both a calculation and reporting perspective and ensure that our various stakeholders are regularly informed of these developments and our strategy to implement before go live.

What we’re looking for:

•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to use multiple data sources to ensure consistency and accuracy
•    Understanding of financial markets, financial and/or regulatory reporting, risk, governance and controls  
•    Strong understanding about interpretation of Prudential regulations across Large Exposures and related reporting requirements including COREP .
•     Identify and implement enhancements to the control frameworks, anticipate the expectations of BIA and external regulators. 
•    Prior experience of working in a large organisation with complex matrix and entity structures
•    Prior experience of managing, preparing and execution of external disclosures
•    Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with proven experience dealing with senior stakeholders 
•    Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the bank - creates and maintains a culture in which trust and mutual respect are valued, challenging people and systems that do not support this. Uses complex influencing strategies and conveys a strong vision to achieve results and obtain buy-in across the organisation.
•    Comfortable working across ‘virtual’ teams and embraces the opportunity to work across various functions and locations.
•    Sets high standards for self and others, leads by example and delivers to a high standard consistently through themselves and others.
•    Able to guide and coach other members of the team to reach their full potential and actively manages their professional development.

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Qualified Accountant – ACA or equivalent
•    Prior experience in a top tier bank or similar financial institution, or a large blue chip corporate 
•    Strong Excel skills and previous experience of having managing and working with large volumes of data
•    Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and understanding and executing requirements / expectations
•    Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
•    Able to effectively cope with the demand of having multiple deliverables to execute within a short timeframe
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    Strong control awareness. Escalates breaches of policies and procedures appropriately
•    Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and manage through to a successful resolution.
