What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Assistant Vice President, Senior Developer in New York, NY (multiple positions available):

•    Analyze user needs and develop software solutions by applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis and enhancing existing software capabilities for the Equity Fund Structured (“EFS”) Direct IT team within the PreTrade Markets Technology Team 
•    Deliver enhancements to existing Java and Python applications to meet the needs of Structured Solutions Americas trading, including developing new payoffs, integration of new product features and external connectivity third-party platforms including SIMON Markets, LUMA and HALO Investment 
•    Utilize financial modeling experience and knowledge of equity derivatives pricing theory to develop automated pricing systems of equity-structured products for primary trading and secondary trading 
•    Provide on-site technical support to sales, structuring, trading, quantitative analysts, and client representatives to effectively support the business and its ambitious growth plans 
•    Make technical decisions that require analysis of problem domain, such as deep technology and business product knowledge
•    Collaborate and communicate globally with other developers and team leads to build technical solutions 
•    Utilize knowledge of software development methods, tools, and standards to ensure the team complies with said practices 
•    May telecommute

What we’re looking for:

•    Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalency in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computing, or related field
•    and five (5) of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
•    Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalency in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computing, or related field
•    and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $185,000 
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $203,500 

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.
