What will you be doing?

Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Vice President, Investment Banking in New York, NY (multiple positions available):

•    Conduct quantitative and financial analysis of information affecting investments
•    Lead teams and work on a variety of tasks and projects across investment banking teams (while focusing on Software companies) and product groups, encompassing a variety of
transaction types (from IPOs and debt to mergers and acquisitions)
•    Work in the Technology sector and work directly on the execution of live deals and/or deal proposals and be involved in all aspects of executing a transaction and creating new business
presentations and opportunities
•    Lead processes and client interactions on live ongoing transactions
•    Perform and review financial analysis and modeling, valuation, industry research, business evaluation and strategic assessments
•    Manage client interaction and client relationship management and ideate business generation
•    Utilize a strong knowledge of financial and capital markets to understand and meet client’s needs and advice accordingly
•    Use financial analysis to prepare a plan of action for investments and to make investment recommendations (such as potential targets to acquire, expand market size)
•    Evaluate current and historical financial data, and interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment
programs
•    Analyze economic and business trends, and monitor economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing financial information
•    Examine a company’s financial statements to determine its value and meet with company officials to gain better insight into the company’s prospects
•    Prepare offering memoranda, proposals and other written materials
•    Present companies to Committees for approval (e.g., prior to an equity or debt offering)
•    Prepare and present oral and/or written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries, at times using charts and graphs, and spreadsheets, to
illustrate technical aspects
•    Manage and lead transactions with minimal supervision and oversee/coordinate activities of the junior team members, as well as coordinate with clients, lawyers and accountants
involved in the transactions
•    Manage up to ten (10) direct reports, overseeing their work to ensure business deliverables are met in a timely and accurate way
•    Domestic and international travel required (20%)
•    May Telecommute

What we’re looking for:

•    Employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $265,000 
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $275,000 

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.
