As a Barclays Wealth Advisor, you will be joining the Wealth Advisory Team, focusing on the Wealth and estate planning needs of the UK Domestic & International HNW/UHNW client base. Aiding Senior Wealth Advisors in delivering UK and international cross border succession planning advice as well as supporting the Wealth Advisory team to develop and expand the Wealth Advisory product set, you will provide a range of estate planning services to clients who hold cash and assets under management with Barclays with values in excess of £3million.

What will you be doing?
•    Sharing client relationship management accountabilities with the Private Bankers and educating on technical wealth advisory matters to be presented to the client base
•    Aiding the Senior Wealth Advisors in providing innovative, creative solutions to a broad range of cross border estate planning client requirements 
•    Sourcing opportunities for UK Wealth Planning products /services and facilitating introductions to regulated UK Wealth Planners as appropriate
•    Leading the risk management agenda, assisting Financial Crime colleagues with technical structural/onboarding questions
•    Attending regular meetings and engagement with the Bank’s clients, directly contributing to revenue generation, and seeking Net New Assets (NNA)
•    Seeking new business opportunities from the Private Bankers and progressing all leads through to completion of sale
•    Assisting with the evolution and enhancement of the UK regulated Wealth Planning product set working closely with the Head of the PBWM Insurance & Pensions team
•    Assisting and contributing to the KBI /Business Development strategy with independent trust companies, private client lawyers and tax accountants 


What we’re looking for:
•    A proven track record in the financial services industry, legal profession, or within the field of provision of advice or services to personal clients internationally and/or within the UK
•    Technical skills in the UK tax arena acquired through experience working for private client law /accountancy firms and /or in a Group Tax environment
•    Sound academic background, holding relevant technical and professional qualifications, with post qualified experience within the private client arena
•    A qualified Solicitor or Accountant and will be a member of an appropriate professional body e.g., STEP

•    Multi-jurisdictional international cross border tax /legal experience

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
