Funding and Liquidity Management Assistant Vice President 
New York, NY

As a Barclays Funding and Liquidity Management Assistant Vice President, you will be responsible for supporting the management of funding and liquidity supporting the balance between commercial needs of the organization with prudential liquidity risk management. You will manage funding and liquidity within the limit framework, leveraging Early Warning Indicators (EWIs), targets, and triggers to keep legal entities, branches, and businesses within the established risk appetite. 

Salary/ Rate Minimum: $105,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum: $140,000

What will you be doing?

•    Implementing a consistent framework for daily liquidity management across Barclays entities and clusters globally
•    Developing, implementing, and executing real-time liquidity management processes across entities
•    Analyzing and communicating results of liquidity risk metrics to management and proposing actions and solutions to potential liquidity issues
•    Preparing analysis for senior management and assisting with responses to regulatory queries and drafting of Treasury’s contributions to regulatory submissions
•    Developing new reporting and analysis tools to support the establishment and enhancement of key funding and liquidity management frameworks
•    Maintaining an understanding of current regulatory environment and assisting the team in adapting to new requirements and developing future state business processes
•    Working with the business to understand and optimize drivers of liquidity consumption, remediate limit breaches and target flashes, and conducting liquidity impact analysis 
•    Documenting and tracking business and governance requirements and processes  

What we’re looking for:

•    Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
•    Three plus years of experience in Treasury/Financial Analysis (example: funding, liquidity risk management, and balance sheet analysis)
•    Three plus years of PC skills (Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Understanding of principals of liquidity risk management and an appreciation of legal entity regulatory issues, including intra-group transactions
•    Ability to pro-actively solve problems and escalate issues through the governance tools and channels and a polished presence and ability to challenge opinions with confidence 
•    Verbal and written communication skills and ability to write effective, high-quality documents and presentations 
•    Knowledge of the Investment Banking and Financial Services products with focused understanding of broader Finance function and Regulatory knowledge 

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
