What will you be doing 

  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Commercial, Sales & Marketing and Credit Management by aligning to applicable policies, standards and other operational risk frameworks in particular for the above mentioned risks
  • Provide risk expertise and support to Commercial Teams as Strategic Analytics, Product Management, Sales, Customer Experience in effectively managing material risks under the key risk of conduct 
  • Responsible as Key Risk Owner for projects with regulatory focus  
  • Track status of control activities and ensures sufficient documentation  
  • Operate and design controls with focus on regulatory adherence, conduct and credit risk
  • Ensure that the respective department complies fully with all governance and compliance issues, particularly in relation to customers, policy and complaints procedures 
  • Act as a role model and support creation of a strong risk culture with a specific focus on conduct  

What we're looking for 

  • Relevant experience within a highly regulated environment along with a deep understanding of the control, regulatory and risk issues in Operational Risk, Credit Risk and preferable within the Retail Banking sector  
  • Strong knowledge of Retail Banking Products
  • Ability to analyse business processes and to identify associated risks 
  • Practical Risk Management experience and a good understanding of Risk Frameworks and techniques (KRIs, Risk Events, Lessons Learnt etc.)  
  • Conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions and to ensure risk and regulatory requirements go hand in hand with delivering ambitious growth targets.  
  • Strong project management skills, preferably from an environment of delivering regulatory projects.
