What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Analytics & Client Data Lead in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Facilitate the delivery of business intelligence data insights utilizing a range of business intelligence utilities and analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure comprehensive, timely and accurate operational oversight for operational teams, senior leadership, service buyers, audit activity and regulators.
  • Utilize design skills to produce and maintain clear, articulate and business intelligence reporting.
  • Track and govern proactive and reactive data validations for all Critical Data Elements across Conduct Risk, Wholesale Customer Data Domain and Identity Service Domain.
  • Complete business data dictionary and data lineage work in support of data strategy for Wholesale Client Onboarding & Group Financial Crime Operations.
  • Support the implementation of Wholesale Client Onboarding & Group Financial Crime Operations data strategy, as set forth by the Head of Client Data Utility.
  • Ensure appropriate business data governance standards are upheld and ensure customer data standards are adopted and followed within business areas.
  • Focus on strengthening the organization’s data management operations and expanding the use of data to inform and support Wholesale Client work Onboarding & Group Financial Crime Operations innovative work.
  • Support the for the client hierarchies for Wholesale Clients; act as product owner for the hierarchy data and definition including data lineage and data quality.
  • Lead and manage four (4) AVP level Business Insights and Analytics.
  • May telecommute.

This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.

Purpose of the role

To implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources. 

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
