Overall purpose of role

·Support the Market Intelligence Office in data mining, risk assessment, Business intelligence, KYC clearance, onboarding, due diligence and business development for the dedicated market

  • Provide day to day support to the Market Intelligence Office and Market Head on clients’ KYC to be able to address internal compliance and due diligence queries, for which Market Intelligence Office is a dedicated main point of entry for the Bank’s clients

·Support the team / business in the delivery of its commercial targets and business goals and in the creation of enduring, deep and trusted relationships with our clients and through business development and marketing initiatives run by Market Intelligence Office as well as efficient onboarding as a dedicated centre of excellence

·Be able to contribute the Market Intelligence Office’s existing reputation as a dedicated centre of KYC / Business Intel excellence within the Bank

Key Accountabilities

Data mining, KYC and Business Intelligence 80%

·Assists Market Intelligence Office in completing enhanced KYC profiles throughout the lifecycle of the relationship (Targets, Prospects, Clients), with focus on business intelligence and risk management.

·Enables professional data mining and provides advice on pre-onboarding KYC pre-clearance.

·Helps Market Intelligence Office in Account Opening and preparation for Onboarding committees as well as in ongoing and ad-hoc due diligence review for existing names.

·Completes risk assessments, risk reports and escalations, ad hoc and periodic reviews on clients, prospects, transactions and dedicated business topics.

·Helps Market Intelligence Office and dedicated Banker’s Team in closing internal compliance alerts, investigations and queries.

·Assists Market Intelligence Office and dedicated Bankers’ Team in client communications related to KYC, onboarding and compliance matters.

·Stays up-to-date on the market, political, business and regulatory environment of the specific regions, helps in creation of ad hoc concept papers and market newsletters / updates.

Business Development and Marketing 20%

·Helps in identifying new targets and inroads as a result of research of open sources and available in-house database (business development).

·Maintains the pipeline of prospects and helps on internal reporting tasks / interactions with Sales Team.

·Helps in preparation of dedicated marketing events twice a year.

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
