As a Vice President within theMexico Banking team, this person will deliver deep sector knowledge through strategic dialogue to clients with a particular focus on coverage related content and execution. The role will have a specific focus on building the Banking business in Mexico and develop strategic dialogue to clients in conjunction with client bankers, global sector partners and other product areas.Vice Presidents in Investment Banking will make a significant impact on their group's business by taking direct responsibility on team development, transaction execution leadership, and fostering key client relationships.

Key Accountabilities

·As an VP in the Banking sector, Barclays Mexico business, development and management of relationships with clients important to Barclays’ franchise.

·Act as a core contributor, work closely with coverage bankers, country bankers and product partners on coverage, identify market opportunities, successfully win and execute new business

·Cultivate relationships throughout the organizations of priority clients; provide key clients with critical M&A and financing advice through building and maintaining strong relationships.

·Develop a thorough knowledge of each client’s management team, operating strategy, key business areas and financial situation, in order to identify, assess, promote and maximise business opportunities, using the full range of products from the different Barclay's business areas.

·Develop junior members of the team to support the delivery of client solutions.

·To implement and operate a governance framework which complies with external and internal requirements.

·To protect and enhance the profile and reputation of Barclays in the country both within and outside the Group.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

·Build, develop and retain a high performing team

·Ensure seamless coordination between coverage and product partners to enhance our client offering and maximise revenue opportunities

·Champion change and ensure it is managed in a manner to deliver desired strategic outcomes as well as minimising any negative impact on staff, clients and the business

·Ensure robust and effective stakeholder relationships across the business, leading by example in engagements with both business and infrastructure partners

·Be a role model of the Barclays Leadership Capabilities through always operating in line with the expectations of a ‘Leader of Leaders’

Decision-making and Problem Solving

·Demonstrate assertiveness and the ability to communicate with others in a manner that promotes mutual understanding and inspires a call to action. 

·Strong technical expertise in order to advise clients and guide senior and junior bankers in the resolution of complex financial problems.

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Person Specification

·Strong track record in Investment Banking.

·Strong knowledge of Investment Banking market/ environment.

·Extensive transaction experience.

·Extensive product knowledge to deliver M&A, financing and risk management opportunities to the business.
