Business Data Quality Analyst 
London

As a Barclays Business Data Quality Analyst, you’ll be assisting in the delivery of data quality outcomes and remedial steps required to comply with Data Quality Group Standards in the area of Financial Crime, specifically focused on Project Jeremiah and transformation of end-to-end AML processes. Tracking remediation progress and ongoing monitoring of data quality performance and supporting the process for handing over data points to the team for monitoring, once remediation is complete will be part of your role.

What will you be doing?
•    Resolving complex business problems with appropriate solutions through groundbreaking technology
•    Comprehending the impacts of data quality issues on key Financial Crime processes
•    Liaising with the relevant AML Delivery and Technology resources to agree the approach for executing remedial activities and help with the Issue Management governance 
•    Assisting in the information gathering for required for strategic tools (e.g. Barclays Data Portal) to ensure capture as defined by SLAs 
•    Providing appropriate Data Quality input to the BU/Function Data Management Governance forums
•    Working harmoniously with ongoing inflight initiatives and capabilities within Jeremiah and the organisation, to meet programme needs and objectives

What we’re looking for:
•    Must have data engineering, architecture and / or modelling foundation
•    A broad knowledge of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by financial service providers
•    Expertise and competence in at least one or more technologies e.g. Jira, Confluence used by the bank
•    Experience of working with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking about what is possible through technology innovation.  

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Experience in banking applications and infrastructure
•    Exposure to data integration design strategies both for internal and external customer usage
•    Familiarity and competence of Group Data Management Standards
•    Passion for and commitment to ensure data quality; meticulous attention to detail

Where will you be working?
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
