Senior Financial Crime Risk Strategy Manager

As a Barclays Senior Financial Crime Risk Manager, you will have an exciting chance to join our team where, you will be required to define standards and specifications around which others will operate and ensure that essential procedures are followed. This includes standards, processes and procedures for the management and treatment of customers deemed to be High Risk or Politically Exposed. It also includes standards and procedures for the exit of customers and the risk assessments linked to Financial Crime.

This role will be based from either London, Glasgow, Manchester or Northampton. We will confirm your place of work at the point of offer, ensuring that this is considered in line with our future ways of working and overall location strategy. The hiring manager for the role will discuss the appropriate defined time in office for the role with you as part of the application process.

What will you be doing?
•    Accounting for the Governance and Oversight of FC risk across BUK Customer, ensuring key stakeholders have full clarity of the control landscape and priority exposures
•    Ensuring proactive and continuous improvement of Governance and Oversight MI and risk identification methods and supporting with enhancements required across 1Lod FC
•    Driving and ensuring smooth running of 1LODFC Governance Forum to deliver effective and robust risk and control oversight, decisions and escalation where appropriate
•    Managing engagement with other areas of the bank who have identified Group wide Financial Crime exposure ensuring reviews are carried out in a timely manner
•    Driving the holistic ongoing assessment of the plan including consideration, robust management and incorporation of other influencing factors or risk associated throughout 
•    Being responsible for setting, delivering and managing the continuous improvement strategy and tactical priorities surrounding FC Governance, MI and Reporting 
•    Supporting all BUK Customer Fin Crime Colleagues in terms of their personal development 
•    Acting as Financial Crime Champion -being a go-to first point of contact and supporting in their development and understanding of financial crime risk


What we’re looking for:

•    Expertise in financial crime risk management
•    Project management experience
•    Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders and different levels

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Leadership experience, including leadership across virtual teams
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to turn complex topics in to succinct proposals to allow decisions to be made
•    The ability to interpret complex data sets to produce conclusions
•    Self organisation used to working to deadlines

This role will be based form one of below locations.

Glasgow
Our new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration. A place where everyone can bring their true selves to work and reach their full potential. Home to 5,000 of our colleagues, our Tradeston campus will support the community in more ways than one - by creating thousands of new career opportunities and celebrating local artists. A short walk from Central Station on the south of the Clyde, it will be a key location for the Barclays business that will deepen our ties with the city and its communities.

London
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

Northampton
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.

Manchester
In the centre of Spinningfields, Hardman Street is right in the centre of the best of Manchester’s professional business network. A multi divisional space with Corporate, Wealth, Premier and Digital colleagues, the offices include a client suite for meetings for up to 100 people, but are equally intimate for smaller meetings. Set in the heart of the cities gyms , bars, restaurants and shopping, Barclays offices are a real benefit to its 300 staff and an attractive venue for clients.
