Special Situations Analyst 
New York

This role is regulated by FINRA. 

As a Barclays Special Situations Analyst, you’ll support Senior Analysts within certain industry verticals. This is a career-track opportunity with the possibility of developing into a revenue-generating Senior Analyst on our team. You will collaborate with internal and external parties to support the business, including our sales and/or sourcing teams, or working across product areas. External interactions include working with clients, management teams, financial advisors and legal advisors to maintain up-to-date analysis of relevant credits.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $250,000

What will you be doing?

•    Supporting Senior Analysts on the Special Situations team
•    Conducting investment due diligence including valuation, financial modelling, credit document review and industry analysis
•    Preparing and maintaining financial models for relevant credits
•    Being responsible for monitoring bankruptcy dockets and other news sources for new information
•    Updating Special Situations trading and sales teams for any relevant news or critical information
•    Utilizing your intellectual curiosity, excellent financial modelling skills, and inherent desire to know and understand more about each credit you are working on

What we’re looking for:

•    Relevant experience in leveraged finance, investment banking or distressed credit
•    Excellent modelling skills
•    Undergraduate degree

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Effective at working within teams and communicating clearly 
•    Effective at collaborating and building relationships with external clients 

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
