Cyber Fraud Research and Development Technology Analyst

As a Barclays Cyber Fraud Research and Development Technology Analyst, you will support the sustainable development, deployment, and maintenance of the Cyber Fraud Fusion Center’s data and technology tools and platforms. This is an opportunity to be an integral part of the Cyber Fraud Fusion Center technology team that is developing automated systems to better detect, alert, and analyze cyber fraud criminal activity conducted against our clients, customers, and Barclays itself.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborating with CFFC R&D analysts and engineers to develop, CFFC infrastructure and applications, data ingestion and automation solutions
• Conducting research development, and testing on tools, platforms, and other solutions, and communicating research and test results
• Assisting with the coordination and implementation of technical requirements across various technology teams within Barclays, who represent important points of integration 
• Supporting the CFFC leadership team in the continual enhancement and expansion of the R&D and Fraud Control Testing CFFC services
• Contributing to success of the CFFC, demonstrated through key performance indicators, and present information about the CFFC’s R&D and Technology efforts 
• Being responsible for providing as needed support and technical guidance to  other functions within the Cyber Fraud Fusion Center

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working within Financial Service teams responsible for cyber fraud, financial crime or security (web/app)
• Experience with industry fraud and security signals, including any such as digital identity, device, voice, biometrics, and behavioural profiling technologies   
• Knowledge of malicious attack vectors used by cyber fraud adversaries to target the financial sector including but not limited to Device Spoofing and Location Manipulation
• Development experience and/or experience using analytical tools: Python, PHP, JavaScript, Java, Relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL, Oracle, Mysql, etc.), SAS PROC SQL, Hue

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Knowledge of Enterprise security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Cyber-attack phases (e.g. Cyber Kill Chain and/or Mitre Att&ck Framework)
• Previous experience of using analytical tools and platforms such as SQL/SAS/Hue/Hive Basic, Quantexa, Palantir, Maltego, Elastic Search, SAS and MI tools 
• Knowledge and understanding of security network architectures (e.g. Proxies, VPN, DNS, web and mail servers) and the principles of network security
• ICA Certificate/Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention, CAMS Certification, CFE Certification, or equivalent
