As a Barclays Data Lead, you will be working within a team of data analysts, the Data Lead role will be responsible for spearheading the delivery of Barclays data management standard adherence in area of Financial Crime, specifically focused on Project Jeremiah and transformation of end-to-end AML processes. This is a unique role if you are someone with project delivery experience, but also a willingness to investigate business challenges at a detailed level across data sets, operational processes, business controls and applications.

What will you be doing?
• Driving the execution of the data standards methodology, leveraging both the Data team resources as well as BAU SME input, in order to ensure the data quality/control
• Documenting metadata requirements, defining and authorizing sources ensuring stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities in managing data aligned to group
• Taking responsibility for defining data models based on metadata requirements, ensuring that data change is strategic, efficient and maintains integrity
• Being responsible for undertaking business analysis to assess needs, capture requirements & define solutions to maximise value delivered to stakeholders across portfolio
• Defining requirements and specifications for proposed data remediation efforts to meet regulatory commitments, risk controls and business objectives
• Collaborating with relevant AML Delivery Leads & Technology Leads to agree the approach for meeting data standards, and supporting the execution of data remedial activities
What we’re looking for:
• Understanding of Financial Crime Processes (onboarding, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Screening, Data Privacy, etc)
• A broad and deep knowledge and understanding of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by financial service providers
• Experience in business analysis within a data management capability
• Demonstrable track record of successful project and change delivery whilst dealing with competing priorities
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Markets or Investment Banking experience
• Exposure to data integration design strategies both for internal and external customer usage
• Skills in Data management, risk and controls within a financial services organisation, at a senior level
• Experience of delivery within a regulatory environment e.g. SEC, FINRA etc
